Put your breakfast blues aside and let’s begin making it a good morning! Rising early is not always a fun ride. However, if you’ve ever strolled outside while the sun’s still emerging to occupy its throne in the sky, you would know the beauty that’s there in butterfly mornings! You must have figured by now just how loyal of a morning bird I am.
That said, I don’t think I’m going to compromise on my little tummy by stuffing it with some awful GMO crap and throw all its goodness away. Health is a great concern for me. I’m a nature freak and I wouldn’t like my food to be messed with some cheap chemicals and ruin my nice and fresh day. However, dressings are an exception. I like to have breakfast with different kinds of dressings. I totally love them as they allow room for so many food experiments.
I once tried Thousand Island dressing in India. The café that served it would not give me ketchup in its place and said that their café didn’t serve any. They were pretty firm about their stand against tomato ketchup so I let it go. But that was the first time I tried the excellent dressing and I absolutely fell in love with it. And it’s definitely a good replacement for the traditional tomato-loaded ketchup. It even had finely chopped veggies in it! A vegan like me would understand my emotions.
Anyway, moving on, today I’m going to suggest a quick and easy breakfast recipe that is not only healthy but it even taste brilliant with my favourite thousand island dressing on the side!
Here’s one of the most easy and healthy breakfast recipes to go with Thousand Island dressing, India:
Creamy Mustard Mushrooms on Grainy Toast
Toast a pair of bread slices and spread a layer of cheese on them. Meanwhile, heat some oil in a non-stick pan and fry some mushrooms in it until they’ve socked enough oil and have become soft. Pour in some cheese and mustard into the pan and stir until the mushrooms are covered in the sauce. Garnish with chives for a mild onion flavour and serve with Thousand Island dressing on the side.
Doesn’t that sound awesome? Well, that’s as scrumptious as it gets. So, good morning indeed and have a nice day!
